Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine - over 2000 years old. It is very safe. There is a lot of scientific research to support the effectiveness of acupuncture.
A natural and safe beauty therapy. Ruth specialises in Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture (FRA). During your course of treatment a variety of FRA techniques may be employed. For example, acupuncture, derma-roller, electro-acupuncture, facial massage and gua sha or Tens.
Cupping involves creating a vacuum in glass or plastic cups, either by using a flame to burn out the oxygen inside or using a suction pump. The vacuum created by cupping may help loosen muscles and encourage blood flow. Cupping may be used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety and even cellulite.
Tight shoulders? Sore back? A deep tissue massage is a favourite. Often combined with other techniques such as infra-red heat, cupping and sometimes acupuncture - depending on your needs and preference.
Facial gua sha is a technique used by the ancient Chinese to keep their facial skin looking youthful and healthy. Referred to as an ‘Eastern Facelift’ facial gua sha may improve the health of your skin while creating lift and a glowing complexion. Hopi Ear Candles are hollow tubes made of cotton, soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs. When lit, the candle acts like a chimney, causing the warm air inside it to rise and creating a vacuum at the bottom. This vacuum gently stimulates the ear, facilitating removal of excess wax and impurities. Hopi candles may be used for many conditions including deafness caused by excess wax, congested sinuses,headaches. A course of 3 treatments is recommended.
